Dear MyBloggerLab Users,
As you all can already see, we have unwrapped the new look of MyBloggerLab design early this morning. You came to the site and suddenly saw a new design and your reaction would probability be WTF! What happen to this place? Do not get confused you are still at the same site just the theme is redesigned. Yes, we will be explaining each and everything behind redesigning a new theme. I will format it as Why We changed the theme, what is new, what is the future and benefits of these noticeable changes.
Why we switched to MyBloggerLab v2:
The main reason behind switching to a new design is to provide a user-friendly experience to the readers. If you noticed, the previous design was out of order and users were finding it difficult to navigate and see through the content. The floating older and newer post buttons did not suite all resolutions monitors, so we got rid of it.
In version V2, we attempted to fix those issues which were creating problems. Honestly speaking, I started to hate that previous theme, and there were several reasons behind it. The new design gives us the opportunity to grow more room around content to help users to browse the site with ease
What are the Changes?
The whole thing is changed. This new look is a bit inspired from Blogger.com as we have tried to use the same color scheme to give it a pleasant and professional touch. Following are the few noticeable changes that we have made in the theme. I would try to highlight every point and would also explain why we change them.
- New “Why to use Blogger” Page: Being a Blogger platform user, we always try to endorse blogger platform. Therefore, it is our duty to promote it throughout our site. Finally, we fulfilled it by creating a new page “Why should you use Blogger”. This page has an enormous list of reasons behind why we and everyone should select blogger.
- About us Page Reborn: Previously, we were user author page as the about us page. However, we have finally published our official about us page. It has all the information that a person may need to know about the organization and the man who’re running it.
- Custom Homepage: Do you remember our previous homepage? It was somewhat like a blog. Well, now it is totally renewed. It would continue to display posts but in a different fashion. At the top you will see the featured posts and on the bottom there will be a list of random or popular articles. The reason behind making such changes was to increase the browsing experience of the users.
- New Commenting System: For the past couple of weeks, our team was busy with coding a robust commenting system for the Blogger platform. Finally, we were able to pull it off. You can now see the new commenting system live and can ever give it a test drive. We have also added a new feature which would allow you to embed YouTube videos and images in comments. Just paste either YouTube Video URL or any image URL in comments and bam.
- BIG Related Posts: The old related posts gadget was too small it was as small as a coin. Therefore, we decided to create something BIG. Yes, we have added big thumbnail related post gadget which would appear at the end of each and every article. You can scroll down a bit to see them in live action.
- Powerful 404 Page: The old not found page was dead. It had no information that could help those users who have no idea what the heck 404 page means. Now it has some more in depth information. We have added a list archive in the 404 page so lost users can easily find a content that they need. You can take a look at our new 404 Page from here.
What is the Future?
I still have an extended list of things to do. I am extremely satisfied with the directing we are going. We will soon start a Video Sections which would mainly focus Blogger Platform. We would teach you stuff like coding a template and etc. If you have any suggestions, then please contact us.
A new section of Freebies is under progress, and it would be launched by the end of this month. I am super excited to see the love and care we are getting from our readers. It gives us motivation to work hard with more passion. Thanks once again for supporting us throughout our one year journey.
I would try to keep you guys updated, whenever we will add any new feature.
Yours Truly,
Syed Faizan Ali
